MSHSL Girls District Meets

From 1972 through 1991 qualifying for the MSHSL State Meet was done through District and Regional Meets. Beginning in 1992 qualfying for the MSHSL State Meet was done through Sub-Section and Sectional Meets. The MSHSL changed the name of the meet to differentiate between Administrative Regions which did not change for schools regardless of the sport and the Competitive Sections in which schools could be assigned for different sports (e.g. Wayzata a member of Region 6AA was in Section 6AA for Track and many sports, but found itself in Section 2AA for Tennis, Section 5AA for Swimming, etc.)
